Vism Scoped Rifle Scabbard

A Very Friendly Greeting to all you Blog readers

As you have probably deduced by now this blog is dedicated to all the shooters and collectors world wide who like to read about all the new stuff associated with guns and shooting that is available to buy, how it works, how durable it is, will it work on your particular gun and most importantly – how much does it cost. This is where The “Quartermaster” comes in as we not only sell the items that you read about, but we field test them as well and then give you my (humble) opinion of that item. The thing that we are going to discuss today is a unique piece of “Kit” – the Vism / NcStar Rifle Scabbard ~ W92*

This was designed especially for shooters who have to carry their primary weapon for some distance before it is used. Here is just a few examples that I can think of -

1) A hunter who has to walk a few klms  to get to his hunting spot,

2) A shooter who has to carry all his gear down to the range,

3) A soldier who’s situation demands that he uses his secondary weapon (Pistol or Shotgun) for a while.

4) An Airsoft Gamer who’s primary weapon is a sniper rifle but needs a back-up assault rifle for close in work.

All these situations that were a problem for carrying your primary rifle have now disappeared with the Rifle Scabbard, because when not in use, your rifle can be carried safely and (most importantly) comfortably on your back in a variety of ways to suit yourself and your situation, yet can be ready to use in an instant.

The nice thing about this Rifle Scabbard is that there are a variety of ways to carry it. You can sling it over your shoulder, or across your back – left shoulder or right shoulder, you can strap it vertically on the left or right side of your back if you are wearing a Molle/pals vest with the snap fasteners that are provided, or you can strap it to either side of your back pack using the same snap fasteners. It has padding all around to protect your Rifle and a grommet in the bottom for water drainage in extremely wet conditions. It is extendable to cater for different barrel lengths and will take a pistol gripped Assault Rifle with a mag in as well. It is wide enough to take a Scoped Rifle too……………………. What more could you want??????????????

But Wait……….. There’s More!!!!!!! ……………………….(NO! you dont get 6 free steak knives) But you can get these scabbards in 4 COOL colour schemes -

1) Tactical Black ~ W92/B – to go with your Black SWAT Uniform or your Urban Camo Uniform

2) OD Green ~ W92/G – to go with your “J.G’s” or your Woodland Cammies

3) Desert Tan ~ W92/T – to go with your “2 Colour” (Afghanistan) or Desert Digi Camo Uniform

4) ACU – Digi Cam ~ W92/D – to go with your US ACU Army Digi pattern Uniform

Now the best thing of all is that they are very, very reasonably priced………………….. You will probably want one in every colour!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This Scabbard really is the “BEE’s KNEE’s” for toting your favorite Long Arm around. Check them out on our website!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Toting your rifle around……………………….. The “Quartermaster”

ATI Enfield Weaver Mount

Greetings once again to all the Bloggers out there.

Time to put “Pen to Paper” again (figuratively speaking) and let you all know about a Great item from the folks at ATI Gunstocks. This is the Enfield Weaver Scope Mount ~ Y15. Now I would bet that most of you shooters at one time or another have owned one of the Lee Enfield family of rifles, ie: 1) Lee Enfield – “Long Tom.” 2) Lee Enfield No1. 3) Lee Enfield No4. 4) Lee Enfield No5 – Jungle Carbine or if you are like me it was fun to collect the whole family of Lee Enfields including all the “Fringe” Enfields like the Parker Hale conversions and the P14 & P17 varieties and dont forget the Lee Metfords which are the forerunner of the Lee Enfields.

As good as it was to collect these rifles, there is usually one or two that you like to shoot, and as they are generally a very accurate rifle, most of us like to put a scope onto our favorite Enfield to wring that little bit extra accuracy out of the “Old Banger” Now as we all know, getting a Scope Mount for a Lee Enfield can be a frustrating exercise. Not only are they as scarce as “Rocking Horse Sh*t” to come by, when you do find one you generally find it is an exorbitant price. (sometimes more than you have paid for the bloody rifle!)

This is where the Folks at ATI come in and have been manufacturing Scope Mounts for the No1, No4 & No5 Enfields (They will NOT fit the “Long Tom” Lee Enfield) for a reasonable price that makes it cost effective now to be able to Scope-up your old Lee Enfield. This is great news for all you hunters that are still using a .303 Enfield to “Bring Home The Bacon”. Back in the 1970′s that’s all I had to shoot with then. We were buying Military FMJ ammo in packets of 48  at 10 cents per round, that was cheap shooting. (Sure the FMJ ammo wasn’t quite as effective as the soft point ammo, but we just used to bang a second round into them to make sure)

These ATI Scope Mounts are “Dead Easy” to put on, you dont have to be a Gunsmith to do this job. One of the MOST IMPORTANT things to remember when doing this job is to use “LOK-TITE” on the grub screws so that once it is tightened up it wont loosen or shift under recoil…………………… Because the Ol’…”3 nought 3″ does “Boot” a bit for sure. The Rail is a 20mm Weaver / Picatinny type rail that will accept all Weaver / Picatinny Rings, and is made from Hard Coated Anodized T6 Aluminum and comes with all mounting instructions. Now you can turn your Old Banger into a accurate Hunting Rifle or a accurate Target Rifle by installing an ATI Scope Mount and putting the appropriate scope on and lets face it……………… They are still a fun rifle to shoot even though they are 60 – 100 years old now.

Happy Enfield Collecting & Shooting…………………………….The “Quartermaster”

NcStar Front Pistol Grip

Hello to all you dedicated Bloggers

Today’s Blog is all about a tactical piece of equipment that can make “Shooting & Skooting” with your rifle a whole lot easier. What we are talking about is the NcStar Tactical Folding Front Pistol Grip ~ W116. I have personally used these front grips on various rifles in the past and found them to be such a great accessory that I tend to use a Front Grip now whenever I can,(or whenever the rifle is set-up for one) What I’m trying to say here is that I wouldn’t put one on a hunting rifle because it would just get in the way, but for an Assault Rifle, where you need to keep both hands on the rifle and at the ready for an instant action scenario, having a front grip will give you a lot more control over the rifle and a more stable platform to shoot from.

One of the neat things about this forward grip is that you have 4 positions to choose from. The first position is the 90 deg. horizontal position, which is good for casually carrying your rifle (on your way to the front) The 2nd and 3rd positions which are 60 deg. and 30 deg. positions, are great for those assaulting aimed shots, (when you are getting close to the front) And the 4th position is the straight down, vertical position that is used when you need some serious firepower thrown around and you need to keep that muzzle from rising up (when you are right in the middle of the Sh*t and you need to Blow a path through the front)

This Front Pistol Grip will easily mount up to any Weaver or Picatinny  forearm rail, or Front Quad rail in a flash and folds up instantly into 4 positions by a quick release button. You dont have to worry about a lot of extra front end weight as this unit is made from a lightweight, toughened, polymer, that incorporates an ergonomic molded design for a comfortable yet secure grip. The release button on the side can be easily operated by the thumb in an instant to change the position of the grip. Another plus is that these grips are great for Airsoft and Paintball rifles as well. Check them out on our website.
